My name is John Murphy and I live in a suburb of St. Louis,  Mo.  I have three daughters and a granddaughter that live close and whom I visit with often.  While my modern day life consists of a nice and relaxing retirement from my 30+ years in the electronics industry, living history is where my true passion lies.  I have been doing living history since 1983 and decided around 1986 to portray an 18th century barber surgeon by the name of Joseph La Bolle', to help educate the public on medical needs in the 1700s.  Over the years, I have acquired a great number of surgical and dental tools from the era as a visual exhibit to my presentations.
